The changes to cable test methods and requirements first introduced by BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 "Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings - Part 1: Code of practice for system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance" mean that fire resistant cables must now be approved against new test requirements.
